‘Exceptional’ and ‘Strong’: Ofsted praise St. Bede’s
St. Bede’s Catholic Academy in Stockton is celebrating a remarkable Ofsted outcome after being awarded “exceptional” and “strong” under Ofsted’s rigorous new inspection framework – a distinction achieved by only a small number of schools nationwide. The school received an ‘exceptional’ rating for behaviour and attendance, alongside ‘strong practice’ in inclusion, personal development and wellbeing, curriculum, teaching, leadership and governance. Early Years provision was judged to be at the expected standard, ensuring children begin their learning journey with secure foundations.
St. Bede’s Leading the Way in Attendance and Behaviour
We’re proud to announce that St. Bede’s has been recognised by the Department for Education as one of the UK’s top schools for behaviour and attendance. This incredible achievement places us among an elite group of schools nationwide—and we’re the only primary school in the North-East to feature on the Government’s official list of integrated Behaviour and Attendance Hubs.
Honouring Remembrance at St. Bede’s
This November, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils proudly took part in local Remembrance events, paying tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country. It was a meaningful opportunity for our school community to reflect on the importance of remembrance and the values we hold dear.
